Aeroflex Announces Comprehensive WiMAX Test Strategy at CTIA

New Capabilities Allow 2975 to Support Re-banded 800 MHz Radios
Aeroflex 2975 Radio Test sets now have the capability to support Motorola’s re-banded SmartNet™ and SmartZone™ 800 MHz P25 radio systems. Accurate testing and verification of 800 MHz re-banded public mobile radio (PMR) systems is critical because of their use by first responders who rely on their radios to ensure public safety.

Software Upgrade Adds Features to 3500 Radio Test Set
Aeroflex will provide a free software upgrade for its portable 3500 Series Radio Test Set, now with Distance-to-Fault (DTF) measurement and enhanced VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) to quickly and easily find faults in cables and antennas and display results graphically. Other new features available with the software include added squelch tones as well as save and recall of test setups.

New Windows®-based Auto-Test Software for 2975
The 2975’s new Auto-Test software increases the speed, consistency and accuracy of testing P25 and FM radios while providing the ability to store, print and share test results. For public safety and other private mobile radio (PMR) network users, the 2975 Auto-Test function allows non-technical personnel to test radios automatically, freeing up test technicians for other communications systems repair and maintenance.
