Aeroflex 3920 Series Selected to Test and Align ICOM Radios
Aeroflex recently agreed to provide automated test and alignment capabilities for Icom radios on its 3920 Series Digital Radio Test Set. Initial test capabilities will be focused on the IC-F9010/F9510 APCO Project 25 Conventional and Trunked Radios and the IC-F4029SDR Series dPMR Portable digital radios and will later be expanded to include Icom's IDAS™ Series NXDN™ compatible radios and D-STAR digital amateur radios.

 New 3500 Series Software Adds P25 Support and Tracking Generator
New software version 3.5.1 for the 3500 Series Hand-held Radio Test Set includes a tracking generator option, so users can test and align duplexers quickly in the field, as well as support for the P25 testing option. The new software, which is available now, also improves the SWR and distance-to-fault
analysis functions that speed testing
of antenna and cable systems.

Software Update for the 3900 Series Digital Radio Test Set
Aeroflex's new 3900 Series software, version 1.7.5, supports the following options: XTS-5000 Auto Alignment 390XOPT600, EIA/TIA-603 Auto-Test software (390XOPT603) and Tone Signaling Encode and Decode functions for Tone Remote, Two Tone Sequential, 5/6 Tone formats and DTMF.

3920 Series' Auto-Test II Option Now Supports EIA/TIA-603 Compliance
Aeroflex has enabled the Auto-Test II test function (390XOPT603) for its 3920 Digital Radio Test Set to perform test functions as prescribed by the EIA/TIA-603 standard for testing any FM Land Mobile Radio. Now development groups, manufacturers and field service operators can use the 3920 to verify that FM Land Mobile Radios are performing to specifications.

XTS-5000 Auto-Test II Option Expanded to Include Other Motorola Radios
The 3920 Digital Radio Test Set's XTS-5000 Auto-Test II Automated Test and Alignment Option has been expanded to provide automated test and alignment of Motorola XTS and XTL Series Radios. The latest version includes support for additional Motorola portables such as the XTS-1500, XTS-2500, XTS-4000, SSE-5000 and MT-1500. It also includes support for the XTL-1500, XTL-2500 and XTL-5000 mobiles.
