UKAS Accreditation

Aeroflex has been UKAS accredited for over 40 years underlining the competence, impartiality and high quality calibration service Aeroflex provides to industry. In this time, the accreditation has grown to cover all of our laboratories and deliver a measurement capability covering the one of widest parameter ranges available in the UK.

Our electrical UKAS accreditation covers the full range from DC to 40GHz and enables us to calibrate all types of general purpose test equipment from absorption clamps and ammeters to oscilloscopes, function generators and network analysers. In 2009 Aeroflex integrated a state of the art mechanical laboratory into its Stevenage calibration facility and added dimensional parameters to our extensive electrical UKAS accreditation.

This new mechanical facility and accreditation gives us the ability not only to service standard dimensional engineering items, such as micrometer calibration, thread gauge calibration, or calibration of gauge blocks; but also complex purpose built jigs and fixtures and the detailed inspection of mechanical components.

UKAS accreditation to the ISO 17025:2005 standard defines what is required of a laboratory to demonstrate both the technical competence of the personnel and availability of all the technical resources needed to produce reliable measurement and calibrations.
